She hears her number and walks onto the stage. Darkness before her, the music starts. A voice sings in her heart. She flies, her body moving across the boards, the leather of her shoes squeaking as she touches the wood. Skin glistening, her breath comes quickly as she awaits a decision looking into the darkness.
