Magpie Tales-Time Stands Still

tiny grains of sand
washing
from under toes
as the tide moves
in and out
warm  breezes
caressing
sunburnt shoulders
sea glass
sifting
through fingers
like confetti
red dust blowing
down a trail
hoodoos ahead
white magic
storm clouds billowing
high
in an azure sky.

  6. I love the way this links the sand grains of time to the grains of sand slipping away under our toes.

  10. The photo stands still, but your evocative images of sand moving between toes as tides become your living hourglass and on to clouds in your azure sky do not. You are saying a snapshot is not living but you are. (I think, and enjoyed).
