Magpie Tales-Morning's Symphony

The sun waits center stage
As the moon sings a final aria
Silver notes
On a freshly fallen snow
Clouds float westward
Swaying like a gospel choir
Evergreens hum softly
Maple and oak branches
Drum beats in the cold air
A doe lifts her head
As the sun sings
Gold notes
A crescendo of life
Soaring ever higher
Mixing with silver
On a freshly fallen snow

C.M. Jackson 2010

  3. The image gave me that feeling of twilight - entering a new dawn as well. Bravo - a crescendo of life... mixing with silver... great line.

  8. As gloomy as my haiku was for this photo prompt, your poem is sublime! It really lifted my spirits. I think it is a lovely thing.

Your profile is interesting. I noted that you love Casablanca. Not to be self-promoting, but you may enjoy my post about the movie and a vintage postcard. It was just last week right here!
