Theme Thursday-Surface

is it below
or above
hard to tell

when the wall seems
too tall
to scale

the waves crashing
noise
thinking
nowhere to turn
listen
a chime sings
with the wind
feel
the rock
climb

aspens whispering

sunrise awakens
swim to shore
sand and salt
cleanses

heart beats
new beginnings
await

  3. Well done. I'm reminded now of the opening scene in the English Patient where the plane flies over the desert. Is it skin, is it parchment?

  5. Erosion can lead to falling apart... but it can uncover things as well.

Love the economy in the piece. Less is more certainly applies here.

  8. Glorious words and images. The aspens just send me. Ours whisper too, I think we call them poplars in Michigan.

  15. I really like "sunrise awakens" also "sand and salt cleanses". I never looked at sunrise in quite that way, and was just reading on a website about how gargling with salt water really does help clean out the infection in one's throat. I really enjoyed this TT. Sorry I am so slow getting here, but I've been sick and slowly getting over it.

    God bless.
