The sun waits center stage
As the moon sings a final aria
Silver notes
On a freshly fallen snow
Clouds float westward
Swaying like a gospel choir
Evergreens hum softly
Maple and oak branches
Drum beats in the cold air
A doe lifts her head
As the sun sings
Gold notes
A crescendo of life
Soaring ever higher
Mixing with silver
On a freshly fallen snow

bkm---I am trying to embrace the season;-) the cold winds will be bringing snow soon enough---c
The image gave me that feeling of twilight - entering a new dawn as well. Bravo - a crescendo of life... mixing with silver... great line.
'clouds swaying like a gospel choir' ... love the imagry. I could also see the beginning of sunlight in Willow's photo.
the sun sings a beautiful image across that fresh fallen snow...
Ah, yes, that baritone moon!
(uber cool header pic!)
"As the noon sings a final aria" - beautiful
As gloomy as my haiku was for this photo prompt, your poem is sublime! It really lifted my spirits. I think it is a lovely thing.
Your profile is interesting. I noted that you love Casablanca. Not to be self-promoting, but you may enjoy my post about the movie and a vintage postcard. It was just last week right here!
What a delicate morning vision. You paint a beautiful image CM. Thanks for stopping by my take on the prompt.

That's absolutely lovely. I really like the extended metaphor, and you are a virtuoso with it! Thanks for visiting my piece as well. Cheers -Mary
