Theme Thursday-Park

New Jersey has been experiencing searing heat for the last two weeks and it is starting to make me just a little crazy. Never good, because I have an ample amount of crazy already, the humidity and the too early dog days (sorry Max) of summer make me want to hibernate like I do in the winter parked in front of the tv watching a movie or slouched in chair reading a book. My rule is the couch potato 'thang' is only allowed during the winter months. After March, it is written, I must move. Given this heat, moving means sweat---I know, girls do not sweat, they perspire or mist----hello, I sweat and therefore, wish to park myself in front of a large air conditioner and herein, right now, lies the problem. It is hot, humid and just plain not conducive to my rule. That's life, sometimes rough when you want it easy. No worries, there's always a song to get you through.

That video was done is 2008. I will never have Tina's legs, but I aspire to her energy and doo doo doo doo! Don't be afraid to sweat. Put on the hiking boots and go find a park here or here or here.

It's Theme Thursday and there is a place to park here.

I'm hibernating like winter, too! I miss the summer breeze blowing through the house but the AC is staying on for now!

Nice one, MC! But I think I'll stay on my couch and watch Tina... it's way too hot to move here! :)

Nice! Reminds me of something my grandmother used to always say: Animals sweat, Men perspire and Women glow.

Ha. Let me tell you, I'm in S. Ontario and it's darn hot here too. Glowing wasn't really the term for it.

Nice job sneaking in the theme! Happy TT! :)

Ahh, what a unique twist to the "park" theme. Being a neighbor over here in PA, I know all about the sweltering heat. But.....I love it. The hotter, the better. Can't stand the cold winters. I try to stay active year round.

I see the sun shining and I am desperate to be outside lounging in the open air... but I need to be inside in the conditioned air!

I think that global warming and summer heat-waves means that you should be allowed to park yourself inside during the summer months in exceptional circumstances - perhaps submerged in a cold bath.

This was good, the battle between comfort and adventure . . . I've been there and I enjoyed this. Thanks

Yayy for putting on the hiking boots! Whether it's a sub-tropical adventure in searing heat and catastrophic humidity or a freezing early morning approach to a glaciated peak, life is just better when you're wearing dem boots.

I prefer to stay indoor most of the time.
parking time is cool early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

Nice juxtaposition of ideas. And Tina is always a treat.

While you've been sweltering on the East Coast, we've been under a blanket of overcast skies for days here on the West Coast of SoCal. Not that I'm complaining.... :-)

Ah I know the feeling although it's cold down here right now. Sadly, I have no aircon but the pool does nicely on those horrible humid days and I'm not adverse to parking the body on a banana lounge! Thanks too for linking the post. It's Saturday here and I'm catching up, makes such a difference being able to go straight to the theme post. Have a good weekend!

Tina is a treasure..maybe if I stand up on a hot day, instead of languishing and dance along with her, I'll get those legs?
We have the same weather here as you..ugh!

I wouldn't mind having Tina's legs either, but I'd settle for her energy and doo doo doo doo. LOL

It's hard to work hard in severe heat. There's a reason why sultry countries take things slower. They have to. Sometimes you need to rest in front of that air conditioner.

I gave you an award over at my blog. Don’t worry about doing the whole award thingy if you're too busy fighting through the heat. Just think of it as a shout out for your blog.
